The McLennan neighbourhood of Richmond is in North-East Richmond. The McLennan, Richmond neighbourhood is South of Westminster Hwy and North of Francis Road between No. 4 Road and No. 5 Road. This neighbourhood is known for having many religious places of worship along No. 5 Road, which is commonly referred to as the Highway to Heaven. In addition to those, it is comprised of detached homes on large farmland lots. Many of these homes are newer mega homes, but there are also some older more modest homes in the neighbourhood. Commute
If you live in McLennan, you have easy access to Highway 99 and Highway 91 which makes commuting by car into Vancouver, Delta, Surrey, and New Westminster quite convenient. If you commute by bus, there is bus service along No. 5 Road, No. 4 Road, and Westminster Hwy. Due to the area being primarily farmland, it is not very walkable.
Schools
The McLennan neighbourhood falls into multiple elementary and high school catchments. So, your school will depend on which part of the neighbourhood you live in. The three elementary schools are Kingswood, Anderson, and De Beck. These have a rating of 5.3, 7, and 6.9 respectively. The high schools are McNair, MacNeill, and Palmer Secondary. Parks
The Shell Road Trail runs through the McLennan Neighbourhood, which is nice for leisurely walks. Although it is outside of the neighbourhood The Richmond Nature Park is easily accessible to residents.
Shopping, Dining & Things to Do
Due to the nature of this neighbourhood all the dining options and things to do are located outside of the neighbourhood. Most of the shopping options are also outside of the neighbourhood with exception to the Urban Farm Market, which we do frequent for our fresh produce.
