About Ladner, BC
Ladner, BC which is home to over 25,000 people, is one of three communities that make up Delta. It is situated next to the Fraser River, is a heritage fishing village and Delta’s main hub for the agriculture industry. In addition it is also home to Delta City Hall and the Delta Hospital.

Ladner is comprised of mostly single family homes and farm land with some low-rise condos and townhouse complexes. However, as the population continues to rise there is a need for more affordable and compact housing options. Because of this, there have been some changes in the official community plan which now allows for more medium-density housing.

Transportation & Commute
One of the best part of living in Ladner is the quick and easy commute to get to all of your day-to-day amenities. If you choose to live in Hawthorne, Delta Manor, or Ladner Village most amenities can be reached easily by foot!
If you regularly commute to Richmond or Vancouver you have direct access to the George Massey Tunnel. You can connect into Tsawwassen using Highway 17A or you can take the scenic route and use Arthur Drive. Surrey and The Fraser Valley can be accessed through Highway 10, Highway 99, or River Road giving you lots of different options.
The Ladner Exchange Bus Loop, located in Delta Manor, not only has routes to take you within Ladner, but that will connect you to Bridgeport Station, Tsawwassen Ferries, Scottsdale, and Scott Road.
Lastly, Ladner, BC also has the Westham Island Bridge, which connects you to the farms on Westham Island. This is a single lane, wooden bridge, that was constructed between 1909 and 1912 and it swings open 7-8 times per day to allow for the passage of large boats.
