If you live North of Williams Road the elementary school is Kingswood Elementary. It has a 5.3 rating on Fraser Institute’s school ranking list. Whereas, if you live South of Williams Road and West of No. 5 Road the school is Woodward Elementary. Which has a 5.8 Rating. However, if you are South of Williams and East of No. 5 Road the elementary school is Kidd Elementary. In fact, this school has a 6.6 rating.
Regardless of where you are within the neighbourhood the catchment high school is McNair Secondary. McNair secondary has a rating of 5.4. Lastly, if while living in Ironwood you choose to enroll your children in French Immersion the catchment schools are Whiteside Elementary and McRoberts Secondary. These have a rating of 7.5 and 8.1.

In addition to the school parks, Ironwood also has The Gardens which is located off No. 5 Road near Steveston Hwy. It has a serene tree lined walking path for everyone to enjoy. Furthermore, there is Woodwards Landing at the base of No. 5 Road along the dyke.
