The Hamilton neighbourhood of Richmond is the furthest East part of Richmond. Historically Hamilton, Richmond has comprised of mostly single-family dwellings on medium sized lots. However, over the past several years, there has been an increase in the number of condos in the area. This is primarily due to the new Hamilton Village development.
Housing prices in Hamilton are much more affordable than in most parts of Richmond. Detached homes have a starting price point of $1,350,000. For condos the starting price is $550,000.
Commute
Hamilton is the ideal location for those who commute into New Westminster, Burnaby and Surrey by car. It has easy access to Highway 91 and the Queensborough Bridge. Also, Hamilton is a 12 minute drive to the 22nd Street Skytrain station. This connects you to Surrey and Vancouver.
Schools
Hamilton Elementary is the catchment elementary school for the area. It has a 6.3 rating on Fraser Institute’s school ranking list. However, the catchment high school for Hamilton is outside of the neighbourhood. It is McNair Secondary which has a 5.4 rating.
Alternatively, if while living in Hamilton you choose to enroll your children in French Immersion the catchment schools are Mitchell Elementary, Whiteside Elementary, and McRoberts Secondary.
Parks
In addition to the school parks, Hamilton also has McLean Neighbourhood Park. There is also Hamilton VLA Park and Hamilton Highway Park. Also, keep in mind that Hamilton Highway Park has an off-leash dog park for your furry friends.
Shopping
When living in Hamilton, Richmond you have access to Queensborough Landing for all your shopping needs. There is also a Pharmasave in Hamilton.

Most of the dining options close to Hamilton, Richmond are in Queensborough. However, in Hamilton there is Paulo’s Pizza.
