The Broadmoor neighbourhood of Richmond is in West Richmond. The Broadmoor, Richmond neighbourhood is South of Blundell Road and North of Steveston Hwy between No. 3 Road and Gilbert Road. It is best known for having spacious, deluxe style single-family homes on larger lots. Although this is the case, there are some older condos along Steveston Hwy and some townhouses in the area as well.
The starting price point for detached home in the area is $2,000,000. However, due to their age, condos are much more affordable with a starting price point of $500,000. Lastly, townhouses have a starting price point of $1,000,000.
Commute
If you live in Broadmoor, the closest SkyTrain station to you is Brighouse Station. This is about a 10-minute bike ride or a 5-minute drive away. However, transit does run along Steveston Hwy, Gilbert and No. 3 Road and will connect you to different parts of the city. In addition, if you enjoy commuting my bike, there is a bike lane along Williams Road.
Schools
The Broadmoor neighbourhood falls into different school catchments. So, your school will depend on which part of the neighbourhood you live in. If you live between Blundell Road and Francis Road, the elementary school is Ferris Elementary and the high school is Richmond High. These have a 7.9 and 5.9 rating respectively on Fraser Institute’s school ranking list.
Finally, if you live between Francis Road and Williams Road, the school is Errington Elementary. It has a rating of 8.2. Lastly, if you live between Williams Road and Steveston Hwy the school is Maple Lane Elementary. This has a rating of 8.3. Both of these areas of Broadmoor fall into the Steveston London Secondary School catchment. Which has a rating of 6.2.
Parks
In addition to the numerous school parks, the Broadmoor neighbourhood also has the Marrington Neighbourhood Park. It does not have a playground, but it is pet friendly.
Shopping
Equally important, between Richlea Square and Broadmoor village there are a number of shopping options within Broadmoor, Richmond. Some of our go to shopping destinations in the area are Shoppers Drug Mart, Freshco, and the Pioneer’s Pub Liquor Store. But other options include:
