The Brighouse neighbourhood of Richmond is very centrally located. The Brighouse, Richmond neighbourhood is South of Alderbridge Way and North of Granville Avenue and East of Garden City Road. It is comprised primarily of condos there are some townhouse complexes in the area and very few detached homes. There are some private leasehold condos in the area which are the most affordable housing option. The starting price point for townhouse in the area is $850,000. However, freehold condos in the area have a starting price point of $400,000. Leasehold condos start for as little as $250,000.
Commute
Brighouse is a great place to live if you commute by public transit. You have access to the Brighouse Station and Lansdowne station Skytrain as well as bus services along all the major routes. Since this neighbourhood is centrally located, you can easily walk to all of your day-to-day amenities.
Schools
The Brighouse neighbourhood has multiple elementary schools. So, the one that falls into your catchment area will depend on which part of the neighbourhood you live in. If you live West of No. 3 Road the elementary school is Brighouse Elementary, which has a rating of 7 on Fraser Institutes School Ranking List. Your high school would be Richmond Secondary which has a rating of 5.9.
If you live East of No. 3 Road between Granville Ave and Lansdowne Road your Elementary school would be Cook Elementary with a rating of 5.6 The high school would be MacNeill Secondary with a rating of 4.3.
If you live North of Lansdowne Road, the elementary school is Tomsett Elementary. The rating is 7. The high school would be MacNeill Secondary.
Parks
In addition to the school parks, Brighouse, Richmond also has Minoru Park. Minoru Park was originally home to a horse racing track it now has a huge variety of things to see/do some of which include Minoru lakes, walking paths, 2 artificial turfs, 2 bowling greens, 5 tennis courts, a cricket pitch, and the historic Minoru chapel.
There is also the Lang Neighbourhood Park which is a small urban park with a splash pad for kids to enjoy.
